Join us for an amazing showcase of Jazz musicians & great conversation at the 2023 Chicago Jazz Festival celebrating all forms of jazz in a beautiful setting at Millennium Park. This is a family event and all ages are welcome. Make sure to grab your blanket, picnic basket and, not to forget, your fabulous self!

The Chicago Jazz Festival is a Labor Day weekend tradition that promotes all forms of jazz through free, high-quality music programming. The festival showcases Chicago's local talent alongside national and international artists to raise awareness and appreciation for one of the city’s most beloved art forms.

 

We will meet to hear Carmen Stokes at 3pm on west side of the Von Freeman Pavilion (check out the event map with marker in the Photos). This is the last performance on this stage and we will move to the

Great Lawn for the next performance.

The Chicago Jazz Festival at Millennium Park, the Chicago Cultural Center and citywide is produced by DCASE and programmed by the Jazz Institute of Chicago (JIC) and runs from Thursday, August 31 to Sunday, September 3.

Food & Beverage:

Subject to bag search at the security perimeter, guests are allowed to bring their own food, non-alcoholic beverages to Millennium Park. Bags and coolers must be smaller than 26L x 15W x 15H.
Outside alcohol is not allowed for the Chicago Jazz Festival  (Aug 31–Sep 3, 2023). Alcohol may be purchased inside the park.

Eleven North Hospitality, the concessionaire of Millennium Park, offers a broad range of food and beverage options for Park visitors at Millennium Hall (below the Cloud Gate sculpture) featuring Casa Bonita, a Mexican restaurant and Napolita Pizzeria, serving Neapolitan cuisine and American bar fare with local beer from their own Double Clutch Brewery. For the Chicago Blues Festival (June 8-11, 2023) they will host a BBQ pop-up, “Wally’s BBQ Pit” in the North Promenade Tent.
And Momentum Coffee is located in the center of the Park directly under Cloud Gate.
