Join Pine Point for the first major outdoor activity of the summer. We will start at Caldwell Woods (The BUNKER HILL picnic entrance off Caldwell Ave. - a little North of Devon Ave) Sunday morning for a bike ride / skate along the North Branch trail and return for a picnic / BBQ about 1:30 or 2:00.

We will be set up at the fork in the road under a big tree. Look for a white Toyota Prius. There is plenty of parking. Join us for the ride, BBQ, or both. If you are joining us for BBQ only, 1.30 would be the time to show up.

Schedule for the day-

• 10:00 bike / skate prep
• 10:30 leave parking lot
• 1:30 (approx) return to parking lot & fire up the grill
• ??? or sunset - head home

 

Bike ride / skate details -

We will LEAVE at 10:30 and ride for about 60 to 90 minutes before taking a break to refuel for the ride back. (Bring your own water & food for the ride. There is NO WATER on the route.) We will break into 2-3 smaller groups depending on speed of the riders. Generally, plan on riding 12-15 MPH with a fast group around 17-20 MPH

Our turnaround point will be Tower Road or Dundee Road.

• Charcoal, grill, and grilling stuff
• Paper plates & plastic ware

Due to Covid, Pine Point will not be providing any food this year to limit the possibility of spreading the virus.

This will be a socially distanced event as well. Bring your camp chairs & blankets and be ready to chat from a little distance.

What you should bring:
• A bike or skates
• Food for the picnic / grill - for yourself, this is not a potluck
• Blanket or chairs
• Water for the ride
• A smile!

Cost -

$5 for Pine Point members who have paid[masked] season or 2021 summer membership

$10 for non-Pine Point paid members (which includes a summer membership)

Please keep in mind that this is a family event and all ages are welcome.
