Hello all you ski bums, powder hounds, winter enthusiasts and fun seekers! Welcome to LAKE EFFECT SNOW territory!

After an absence of 10 years Pine Point is returning to Big Powderhorn Mt. 4 miles from the city of Bessemer, Big Powderhorn Mt. is tucked away in Michigan’s beautiful UP, with a charming Bavarian-style village and complimentary shuttle service, and! 17 FEET of annual natural snowfall.

TRANSPORTATION
We are carpooling this year. Bessemer is about 6 hour drive or about 390 miles from O’Hare. It is also 128 miles North of Wausau/Granite Peak, and 142 miles West of Marquette. If you are comfortable with sharing a ride, please post in the comments below if you have an extra spot or need a ride.

SEASON PASS
Pine Point Ski Club is doing trips to resorts on the Indy Pass this season! The Indy Pass allows passholders 2 days at each of 59 areas around North America. We are hitting 5 of these areas on our trips this year. The best thing about the Indy Pass: It only costs $229 / $219 (new member / returning member) – including Pine Point membership! If you buy your pass through us, we are also having a raffle for a free membership.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU?
If you have the pass, you won’t have to buy lift tickets at any of the areas we hit this year. The pass pays for itself if you ski 3 or 4 days at any of the Indy Pass areas. For details on all the areas, check:

WANT TO SKI SOME MORE ON DAY 3?
The trip is planned for three days. Your Indy Pass will take care of two days at Big Powderhorn. Bessemer is 6 miles from Indianhead and Blackjack Mountains both of which Pine Point skied on last New Year’s trip. So, you can try out either of those resorts. Lift tickets are at best prices when bought in advance and online.

NOTE: If you would like to purchase the Indy Pass via Pine Point, we need your payment by November 27, in order to get this price and participate in our drawing. After November 27, you can purchase it on your own on the Indy Pass website.

Although, all the trips this year are carpool and "book your own" style, we are committed to offering our guidance around lodging, skiing, and transportation. We are excited to help our members get onto the hills & trails this winter and to have respectful socially distanced fun in the outdoors. We will be sending out a detailed daily trip agenda closer to the trip.
