About Travel Insurance
If you’d like to explore travel insurance for a trip, here are some helpful links from people with experience. There are more recommendations at the CMSC website. The Club doesn't make money or benefit from this. We just want folks to know their options:
Travel Protectors
Email Myra, the agent for CMSA at: myra@travelprotectors.com. She replies quickly.
Trust Pilot reviews travel insurance companies.
Trip/Travel Insurance
In our trip postings, there’s often a link to a specific travel insurance policy. But you can also choose any other carrier. We’ve listed a few above.
Different Types of Policies
-
Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR): The most flexible (and pricier). You can cancel for any reason, period.
-
Standard policies: Cover specific circumstances like illness, injury, or travel disruptions.
Even the premium policies are usually affordable.
Deadlines
Read the fine print:
-
Some policies require you to buy them no later than 30 days your departure.
-
CFAR polices can require you to sign up no later than 30 or 14 days after you make your first trip payment to be eligible.
In Conclusion
Pine Point strongly urges all travelers to get trip insurance. Even if you’re healthy and lucky, life happens. We’ve seen too many people lose money because of:
-
Airline cancellations
-
Injuries on the slopes
-
Family emergencies
Travel Insurance gives you peace of mind when the unexpected shows up.
