Qualification: All trip participants must be members in good standing of the Pine Point Ski Club for the current season. Trip participants to destinations outside of the United States must be in possession of a valid United States passport or valid travel documents from their native country.
Trip Deviations: Pine Point Ski Club markets and sells this trip as-is. All trip deviations that are not included with the trip are the responsibility of the trip participant. This includes all costs and planning for additional flights, additional lodging, adding/subtracting days, additional ground transportation, meals and any other cost not included with the marketed ski trip. Showing up late at the airport is considered a trip deviation and may result in additional costs to the trip participant. Bedding and roommate configurations for a trip are not guaranteed. Pine Point Ski Club reserves the right to assign rooms and roommates at the discretion of the trip leader.
Travel Insurance, Trip Insurance Is Strongly Recommended:
Trip participants are strongly urged to buy trip insurance to cover their trip in the event they must cancel due to personal circumstances or weather. When a trip participant cancels the trip, they should immediately file a claim with their carrier against the provisions on the policy they purchased.
Liability Waiver: I
hereby waive and release Pine Point Ski Club, its officers, agents, representatives, trip leaders, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, successors (collectively the “Indemnified Parties”), and assigns from any and all claims or liabilities for injuries or damages or otherwise which may arise for any reason whatsoever as a result of my voluntary participation in the Pine Point Ski Club trip. I acknowledge that I am responsible for the condition of my own personal well being and health, my condominium, hotel or other lodging during the period which I occupy it.
In the event of storm, inclement weather, acts of God, vehicle malfunction or breakdown, strikes, work stoppages or events beyond the control of the Indemnified Parties (collectively called “Acts of God”), I shall pay and be responsible for all costs, charges and expenses imposed by carriers, lodging management, ski areas, equipment rental stores, or otherwise, except for my proportionate share of any refund received by Pine Point Ski club as a result of such Acts of God, less a $150.00 cancellation fee.
I know that bare spots, variations in snow, stumps, forest growth, debris and rocks, and many other hazards or obstacles (marked or unmarked) exist within any river, lake, and biking or ski area. I assume the risk of such dangers involved and release the Indemnified Parties of any liabilities whatsoever for the conditions of the area, and of all claims and liabilities for injuries resulting from such danger. I have read the above and agree to the conditions stated.
I acknowledge and agree that this document may be executed by electronic signature, which shall be considered as an original signature for all purposes and shall have the same force and effect as an original signature, without limitation.
Club's Trip Cancellation Policy
Please read this carefully so that you understand the Club's Trip Cancellation and Refund Policy. Before you sign, it's your responsibility to ask the Trip Leader to clarify parts you don't understand.
In the event that an individual who has signed up and paid for a Pine Point Ski & Snowboard Club trip chooses to cancel their spot within the following deadlines of the scheduled departure, they shall be assessed; 1) a trip cancellation fee of $150 for a Western trip. For a Midwest trip, the fee shall be determined by the Trip Leader, and 2) all other costs which accrue to the club as a result of the cancellation.
Individual circumstances may vary and depend on expenses incurred by Pine Point Ski & Snowboard Club, consequences of loss of person on the trip, i.e. minimum quantity for discounts not reached, etc. Trip leader input and recommendation should be part of the decision process.
An individual choosing to cancel a trip must submit a signed and dated Pine Point Ski & Snowboard Club "Trip Cancellation and Refund Form" form to the Trip Leader. The form may be found on the Club's website at http://pinepointskiclub.com
Vacancy Replacement
The Club will make a reasonable effort to resell the vacancy and if unsuccessful, the Club will attempt to obtain refunds for unused services to minimize the cancellation costs to the applicant. The individual is also encouraged to resell the vacancy.
When a person cancelling a trip can find a replacement for themselves, and in the case where they have paid in full, the two parties should negotiate transfer of funds among themselves. Where possible, names can be changed on lodging and airfare. Lodging is usually much more flexible but airfare deadlines for name change after tickets have been issued vary by airline.
Deadlines, Fees and Refunds
The trip cancellation fee shall be automatically applied to all cancellations within the Deadlines as explained, and may be waived with the approval of the Board and Trip Leader for a reasonable hardship cause.
Refund Amounts By Cancellation Deadlines
If the Individual's Date of Cancellation Is:
90 days before trip departure then refund will be the amount paid minus cancellation fee of $150.00.
60 days before trip departure then refund will be 50% of amount paid minus cancellation fee of $150.00.
30 days before trip departure then No refunds within 30 days of departure unless replacement is found.
Transfers of money between trips will not be allowed unless approved by Board and Trip Leader.
Note: Refunds will not be issued until 45-60 days after the trip has completed unless the canceled spot has been filled.
