Pine Point Ski Club
Pine Point Ski Club is an athletic, recreational and social club of about 200 members. We schedule several Western ski trips annually as well as a number of local Midwest ski trips. Our members are mostly between 25-55, are single, and live throughout the Chicago area. We also have a number of married couples, some having first met at the club!?! Although skiing and snowboarding (yes we do have snowboarders in the club) is our main interest, we offer a year-round schedule of activities. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at Ambassador Public House in Greektown. This is a newer bar built to accommodate an international sports audience. If we can find skiing on any channel, they will have it on for us :-) Our meetings are pretty casual, mostly conversational. We do have a few announcements about upcoming trips. Otherwise, it's about talking to like minded snow riders! Food and drinks are available for purchase. You can check their website for more details.
Celebrating the start of the year with western Wisconsin mountains. Leaving Friday after work, returning Sunday! OK, it's really a valley will be skiing at Mt LaCrosse - the Mississippi River valley with one of the steepest runs in the midwest and some other fun terrain for those who don't want steeps but want to get their ski legs ready for a western trip. We will be staying in the town of LaCrosse.
Too early for Midwest Skiing/boarding? Nah...you'd be right for anywhere other than a trip to Ski Brule! We have been going to Ski Brule for the last two decades and have never had to cancel because of the weather. Brule's planned opening date is 2nd weekend of November, that's two weeks before most places in Colorado plan to open. This is a great warm up trip to get the new season started!
