32nd Annual Kettle McBlain Camping / Biking Trip, July 26-28, 5-7pm

Details

AN AWESOME SUMMER GETAWAY CAMPING / BIKING WEEKEND
32nd Annual Kettle McBlain Camping / Biking Trip July 26-28.

Join us for the 32nd!WOW! edition of Pine Point’s favorite and longest running summer trip. We will be at Benson’s Camping Resort on Long Lake near Dundee, Wisconsin, about 3 hours north of Chicago.

N3845 WI-67,
Campbellsport, WI 53010

Most people show up at the campground before dark Friday evening, because it’s just easier to put up a tent when you can see what you’re doing.

!!!IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

For those of you have been on this trip before, we will NOT be staying in our usual spot. The hilltop was hit by a tornado last summer and the hilltop is uninhabitable. We have campsites FF24-31 reserved just for us on the lower level. These sites are in the lower area to the left of the "Barn". Follow the road to the first left. We will be in the sites along the woods on the left.

Biking is optional. We will have maps and trip sheets for 38-, 56-, and 76-mile routes for the main biking and/or skating events on Saturday. During the Saturday ride, we typically stop for lunch in the patio at Fudgies in Glenbeulah. The short and intermediate route riders typically overlap for lunch.

If you don't plan on biking you can just hang out at the campsite, take a canoe for a ride, go for a hike on marked trails at Kettle Moraine State Forest, explore the other side of Long Lake, where there is a very nice beach.

At the end of the ride, many of us also enjoy a well-earned ice cream cone at the Hamburger Haus in Dundee. But, save room for Saturday dinner. We will head to the Idlewile Inn, in Saint Cloud WI.

Sunday can be a recovery day, more riding, hiking, canoeing, or ???
